With 2009 drawing to a close, we naturally have a tendency to look back upon the year that was. We have our favorite genre-related media: books, TV, movies, comics, games and more. Alamo, Suite 103.) in Southtown so they are mixing up their schedule a little. First things first. Movies are showing continuously from noon until midnight, with Dr. “S” [Read it all...] The San Antonio Horrific Film Fest is so chock full of films it may be hard to decide which ones to see. There are four that stand out to us at Mission Unknown as must-see movies. The following films have deep San Antonio roots and deserve your consideration: Dr. S Battles the Sex Crazed Reefer Zombies In [Read it all...] 3…2…1…OK, cameras off, quit Final Cut Pro, step away from the edit suite. Over the last weekend filmmaking teams all over San Antonio participated in The 48 Hour Film Project. Fueled by caffeine, adrenaline and lack-of-sleep, each team had just 48 hours to write, shoot, edit and score their short film. Not only that, they [Read it all...] You may have heard of San Antonio’s FILM CLASSICS PRODUCTIONS. They took their short film Four Minutes Till The End to the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
