Mark Cantu and Live Wire Films is moving forward full throttle with their indy superhero comedy film Now Hiring. The team won last year’s San Antonio 48 Hour Film Experience and they are taking that momentum into this full-length feature, but they are looking for your help. Here is your opportunity to be an actual producer!
Now Hiring is the story of Joe, an out of work man who’s unemployment is straining his marriage. He finally lands a job, thinking he will be a costumed hero for entertainment at children’s parties, but he quickly realizes the hero responsibilities are real. With no super powers to speak of, he still needs to keep his job in order to save his marriage. And when an unspeakable menace begins terrorizing the city, heroes must step up and Joe must do what he was born to do.
Your funding contribution through Indiegogo.com will help the team as follows:
- $5500 camera package rental/purchases for Panasonic AG-AF100 including additional lenses, shoulder mounts and matte boxes
- $1500 camera equipment, including Steadicam rentals, jib cranes and dolly track rentals
- $3000 Hero Costume Materials
Remaining funds exceeding the goal will go towards catering for cast and crew, additional props as needed and any street closure permits required throughout the expected three-month shoot. And naturally you will also be helping them spend more of their budget on awesome special effects.
