The Jalapeño hosts an arts extravaganza on the First Friday of every month featuring a group exhibit from some of the finest artists in San Antonio and South Texas along with live music, live painting, food, fun and more. This month’s is especially noteworthy due to the show’s comic book art theme.
Art at the Jalapeño is tonight, Friday May 6th, 2011, from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM. The Jalapeño, the old KEDA Tejano radio station and now home to Symmetric Sound Productions Studio, is at 512 S. Flores San Antonio, Texas. Admission to this event is totally free.
Artist lined up for the show include Baldemar ”Guerro” Vargas, Samantha Sifuentes, Doris Bernal, Eduardo Ramirez, Nicole Anderson, CalvinP, James Saldivar, Chris Craig, J Marie, Emenike Nwodo, Michael R Herrera, Mateo Ayala and Jessica Escobedo Acosta.
There will be live painting by Michael R Herrera, Mateo Ayala and The Jalapeño Artist Alliance along with some other amazing local artists. Live music will be performed by Valeria Gonzales, Sweet Evolution, Blue Sundries and The Professor Amsterdam.
