In conjunction with the Witte Museum’s Backyard Monsters: The World of Insects exhibit, the museum is cranking up the projector for a series of classic giant bug movies. The first of these, 1955′s Tarantula!, screens this Sunday November 28th at 2:00 pm. The screening is free with the regular museum admission.
This film features some cutting edge special effects for the time and has an uncredited appearance towards the end of the movie by Clint Eastwood as a jet pilot.
You won’t want to miss these classic 1950′s sci-fi movies – campy, a little scary and a little funny! Even the kids will enjoy these bug blasts from the past. Here is the complete schedule of upcoming movies:
- November 28 | 2 p.m. | Tarantula (1955)
- December 19 | 2 p.m. | The Deadly Mantis (1957)
- January 2 | 2 p.m. | Them! (1954)
