Metal heads will want to head out to Nightrocker Live tonight to get a dose of San Antonio’s excellent Motorhead cover band, Martÿrhead. They are hitting the stage tonight with Broken Teeth and Heather Leather. Martÿrhead features former members of SA Slayer, Evil Mothers and World Bizarre and is quite a treat to see live.
Austin-based Broken Teeth is touring behind their latest album Viva La Rock, Fantastico. Featuring members of such Metal mainstays as Dirty Looks, Pariah and Dangerous Toys, Broken Teeth sports a hellishly grungy sound that is sure to compliment the faux Motorhead stylings of Martÿrhead.
Joining these two bands is San Antonio’s all-female heavy metal maniacs Heather Leather. These girls have been kicking out the hard rock since the 1980s in true San Anto style.
This should make for an excellent evening’s entertainment. Nightrocker live is at 605 San Pedro Avenue. This show is Friday September 24th, doors open at 8:00 PM. You can see more event info here. Cover is $5 is you’re over 21, $10 if you are 18.
