Fans of fantasy and horror lit, mark this one on your calendar.
San Antonio authors DAVID LISS and JOE MCKINNEY will hold a joint reading Thursday, Jan. 7, at the MAIN LIBRARY, 600 Soledad St.. The event starts at 6:30 p.m.
David will likely be reading from his forthcoming and almost-finished novel, The Darkening Green, which he describes as historical urban fantasy. As you may already know, David is the Edgar Award-winning winning author of historical thrillers including WHISKEY REBELS and of MARVEL COMICS’ new Phantom Reporter series.
Joe will be reading his short story “Dating in the Dead World,” which takes place 20 years after events in his gut-munching zombie novel DEAD CITY. The story will also appear in John Joseph Adams’ The Living Dead 2, due out this summer from NIGHT SHADE BOOKS.
The reading is part of literary arts center GEMINI INK’s First Thursday author series.
