Here’s Team Barnstrom’s entry into the San Antonio 48-Hour Film Experience.
Mistah Pete notes:
Done for the San Antonio 48 Hour Film Experience, December 4, 5, and 6. This is very slightly different from the version turned in just under the wire on Sunday night. Some sound jiggering and effects, plus some tweaks on the titles.
Cast includes my son Cooper, Tamedra “T.J.” Vasquez, Rebecca Renee, Carlos Pina and his daughters Rockie and Jackie, and me. Crew includes Erik Bosse, Siggi Ragnar, Deborah Keller-Rihn, and Paul Vaughn. But everyone did everything, you know those 48hr things… Michelle Scofield built the dolls.
The elements we had to work in — film noir was our genre, “I shave my legs with that” was the line, “Arielle, a whimsical artist” was the character, and they wanted us to shoot in the Hill Country. Three out of four ain’t bad. Even if we sorta half-assed the first three.

Bravissimo!! Watched this with a bunch of UTSA students. They loved it! Crazy funny!
Thanks, Ryan. Tell the kids they need to come out and make one next time!
Wow – pretty cool. Love the unique shots (kid putting stuff in the mailbox). Good job!
