Last night at the San Antonio Film Commission’s holiday party, the winners of the San Antonio 48 Hour Film Experience were announced. In third place was an entry that might be of interest to Missions Unknown readers — Paranormal Squad — the mockumentary by Evil Eye Productions.
Paranormal Squad was directed by Isaac Rodriguez and the cast included Mark Recio, Gena Dunlap, Todd Segraves and Angela Segraves.

This video is the entry from the San Antonio Film Commission. Since the commission was the judge and sponsor of the event, their entry did not compete. Commissioner Drew Mayer-Oakes puts it int he category of “Walk the Walk”.
The Melody (La Melodia) is a creepy little tale of the supernatural. It stars Pedro Castañeda and Laura Evans, and was written and directed by Drew Mayer-Oaks. Enjoy.
Hilarious Paranormal Squad – loved the part, “Forget the Rookie! We got him on CraigsList!”
The Melody – very nice. I loved the use of still photography and the haunting music to tell the story. Laura Evans’s acting came through so well in the stills. Good job folks.
