BBC America will not be showing The Waters of Mars until December 19th, but you can see it a month early…and for free, courtesy of Doctor Who Fans Unite and the Alamo Drafthouse.
Head out to the Alamo Drafthouse Westlakes (1255 SW Loop 410) on Wednesday November 18th at 7:30 for some of the last appearances of the very popular 10th Doctor, David Tennant. The evening will start with an exclusive, never seen before in the US, episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures followed by the highly anticipated Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars.
The Waters of Mars is set on Mars in the year 2059 and the Doctor is joined by a new companion named Adelaide Brooke (played by Lindsay Duncan) who is head of the Mars colony, Bowie Base One. Show producer Nikki Wilson described the character as “the Doctor’s cleverest and most strong-minded companion yet.” Former Neighbours star Peter O’Brien guest stars as Ed Gold, Adelaide’s second in command.
Admission is Free! DWFU will be selling Bad Wolf T-shirts and The Angels Have the Phone Box T-shirts for $15.00-$17.00. The Alamo Drafthouse will be selling exclusive Doctor Who pint glasses for only $5.00! Simply order one through your server and get them while you can!
