Is Zombies Live an Oxymoron? Is “Zombies Live” an Oxymoron?

Zombies LogoJust in time for Halloween, Dia de los Muertos or the perpetually threatened undead invasion of San Antonio comes ZOMBIES, a new live music venue dedicated to horror rock and generally gothic good times. The club is located at 12285 Nacogdoches in the Northern Hills shopping center next to SOHO’s and in the same center as Gold’s Gym.

The opening was this past weekend. Upcoming shows include San Antonio’s Las Cruces on October 9th, The 69 Eyes from Helsinki on October 10th, Von Army CD Release October 16th, Brownsville’s Powderburn CD Release October 23rd and Top Dead Center October 24th.

Zombie_openingZombies sports two separate rooms. The large room features a main stage and will host National, independent and local groups from all over the country. The small room is home to the bar which will be open 7 days a week for those that need their beer fill. Zombies is a beer and wine only establishment and all shows are ALL AGES, unless otherwise noted. Only those 21 years of age or older, of course, may partake of alcoholic beverages.
