If you are putting the finishing touches on your SF epic, you better hurry. The deadline for the SAL Film Fest is today! Films have been created in the 2008-2009 calendar year and you can find the submission form online. The films will be shown on October 10th at the Alamo Drafthouse and will compete for $3,000 in cash prizes. Categories include Short Film Narrative, Feature Film and Youth. The SAL Film Festival is open to Bexar County Filmmakers only and all submissions are free.
And now for some inspiration…
Presented for your entertainment: a light gender-bending fantasy from the folks at Mise Media. All’s Fair in Love was the Mise guys’ entry into the 2009 San Antonio 48 Hour Film Project. No awards, but some quality laughs. Written & directed by Edward Wise and based on a story by Wise and Pricilla Stanley. This is the director’s cut, extended from what was turned in for the competition. Perhaps NSFW depending on your workplace. You were warned.

I missed this one at the screening… It’d be great to see a few more films on here.
