By Sanford Allen, on August 25th, 2009 S.A.-Aussie sf writer Damien Broderick has a new (free) short story online at Tor.com, “The Ruined Queen of Harvest World.” Damien’s even written a lengthy introduction to the story, and there’s spiffy art to accompany it (eyes right).
Incidentally, Damien will be speaking to the San Antonio Writers Guild on Thursday, Sept. 3. More on that later.

Hey, you call that a stick? I’m pleased and a little dazed to report that I also have a new story (“Flowers of Asphodel”) in the Asimov’s Oct/Nov double issue, plus a new 85,000 word critical book about 21st century sf forthcoming from Borgo Press (Unleashing the Strange), and have just finished final correx on two reprints coming shortly from Fantastic Books: The Dreaming and The Judas Mandala. Now working on proofreading The Book of Revelation (by me and Rory Barnes, not God–unlike God, we don’t get to rest on the seventh day), due out later this year. It’s a life, if you don’t weaken…
