You can’t think about Star Wars without hearing Darth Vader’s theme song. Doctor Who wouldn’t be the same without its iconic electronic theme. Music is an integral part of the best films, but if you are mixing your own music and it’s not sounding like you thought it would this month’s San Antonio Film Forum can help. The San Antonio Film Forum is tonight (Tuesday, August 25th) at the Downtown Central Library. The topic is Preparing a Score For Your Film, working with a Composer.
The forum is free and held the fourth Tuesday of every month at the Central Library auditorium (600 Soledad, on first floor), from 7 to 8 p.m. Come early and network with other film-friendly folks, starting at 6:30 p.m. Parking is available in the library parking garage for a small fee.
The forum is hosted by the San Antonio Film Commission and moderated by Nikki Young of PrimaDonna Productions, For information, contact janetv@filmsanantonio.com or visit www.filmsanantonio.com.

I have that RSO double-album soundtrack to The Empire Strikes Back. Bought it new–at maybe an old Gibson’s store?–before the movie even came out. A high-water mark of film scoring. Simply phenomenal.
Agreed. A quality film score that really sticks with you.
