  • This doesn’t really fit in with this list, but it does with this blog.

S.A. sci-fi burger enthusiasts should check out Bunsen Burgers on Walzem Road. It’s run by Kevin Cacy (who used to work at his mother’s restaurants, Go-Yhang Jib (sp?) & Ilsong Gardens). The theme of the place is sci-fi, and the food is out of this world. Check out the site, BunsenBurgers.com.

  • Looking back, perhaps I should have said “S.A. sci-fi and burger enthusiasts…” Or perhaps, “Like ground beef and ‘Forbidden Planet’ and live in the greatest city in Texas?”

Oh my Ross, you are a bad influence. This menu is evil! I’m never going to fit into my swim suit.

  • Ross: You’re the man! I’m definitely gonna have to make my way out to the near ‘burbs to try this joint!

  • Ah, the Iron Cactus. Very nice!

Bunsen Burgers is superb! Barbara and I went out there for the first time a few nights ago, and had really wonderful burgers. The fries are especially astounding, fantastic and amazing; you can get sweet potato fries (or chips, as I’d put it), which I’d never sampled before. Yum.
