Just a reminder: CAN’T STOP THE SERENITY arrives in San Antonio tomorrow, Sunday, July 12, at the Alamo Drafthouse Westlakes. There will be two screenings, with the first one starting at 4pm. Tickets and merchandise tables open at 3pm. Here’s a complete schedule.
CAN’T STOP THE SERENITY is a global series of screenings of the film SERENITY, held to raise money and awareness for Equality Now, an international women’s rights advocacy group. This screening is a double feature of DR. HORRIBLE’S SING-ALONG BLOG and SERENITY, both written and directed by Joss Whedon. The San Antonio-based fan group Doctor Who Fans Unite is producing the event and will have a raffle of prizes from local and international vendors. They will provide a specially themed menu to enjoy during the event, which will also include a costume contest.
$15 in advance / $18 at the door (all proceeds to benefit Equality Now)
