San Antonio’s Museum Reach extension of the Riverwalk opened today, and wow — it’s a jewel! Several new art installations are a part of the finished design, but the highlight is Carlos Cortes‘ fairy-tale grotto. Plenty of cities have theme parks with facades of the fantastic, but it takes a special town to integrate the fantastic so seamlessly into its real-life, urban fabric. That’s San Antonio for you. Take a bow, Mr. Cortes. You’ve outdone yourself, sir. Here’s a tiny video of our new stone San Antonian so everyone can see just how cool this thing is.
